Kickball - Wednesdays (Summer '26)

Two weeks of playoff action at Roosevelt Park are officially in the books, and our top two Wednesday Night Kickball brackets gave us everything from one run nail-biters and upsets to some seriously high scoring semifinal action! When it was all said and done, La Familia and Patas Sucias emerged as our Bracket A and Bracket B Champions! 🏆🔥

🥇 BRACKET A: LA FAMILIA

The Bracket A semifinals kicked things off on August 26, and #1 La Familia immediately found themselves in a battle with #4 Multiple Scoregasms. The top seed managed to survive a close one, earning a 5-4 victory to advance to the championship. On the other field, #3 Northern French Bulldogs pulled off the upset over #2 Bandidos, winning 5-2 and earning their shot at the top seed.

One week later, La Familia and Northern French Bulldogs returned with the Bracket A title on the line, and once again, La Familia found themselves in a game that came down to a single run. Northern French Bulldogs kept it close all night, but the #1 seed held on for a 3-2 championship victory! La Familia won their two playoff games by a combined TWO runs, proving that when the pressure was on, they knew how to finish. Congratulations to La Familia, our Bracket A Champions! 👑🏆

🥇 BRACKET B: PATAS SUCIAS

Bracket B brought a completely different kind of chaos, starting with an absolute shootout between #1 Dude, Where's My Shell? and #4 Kicking & Screaming. The underdogs came ready to play, pulling off a wild 12-11 upset to knock out the top seed and advance to the championship. Meanwhile, #2 Patas Sucias put together a strong semifinal performance of their own, defeating #3 Kickelob Ultra 7-2 to secure the other spot in the Finals.

Unfortunately, the championship matchup between Kicking & Screaming and Patas Sucias wasn't able to be played due to a forfeit, making Patas Sucias our Bracket B Champions! 🏆 While it wasn't the championship finish anyone hoped for, Patas Sucias earned their place in the title game with a convincing semifinal win and walked away with the Bracket B crown.

Congratulations to La Familia and Patas Sucias on bringing home the championships! 🏆🏆 Huge shoutout as well to Northern French Bulldogs and Kicking & Screaming for their playoff runs, and thank you to all eight teams for a great season of Wednesday Night Kickball at Roosevelt Park! 🔴🔥
