MASTERBATTERS

First Place

Softball - Sundays (Summer '26)

Ten teams started the season, but when playoff Sunday arrived at Roosevelt Park, only the top five were left standing. With such a tight playoff field, there wasn’t much room for error and the games certainly lived up to it. Three of the four postseason matchups were decided by just one run, leading up to a championship game that came down to the wire!

The action started with #4 Fish taking on #5 Sons of Pitches for the final spot in the semifinals. Sons of Pitches gave them everything they had, but Fish escaped with a narrow 7–6 victory to keep their season alive. That sent the #4 seed straight into a matchup with regular season leaders #1 Morale is High. Fish kept their momentum going and pulled off the upset, knocking out the top seed 8–5 to complete an impressive run from the quarterfinals all the way to the championship game! 🐟🔥

Meanwhile, #2 MASTERBATTERS and #3 All About That Base battled for the other spot in the final. This one was another nail biter, with neither team able to create much separation. When it was all said and done, MASTERBATTERS held on for a 4–3 victory, sending the #2 seed into the championship against a Fish squad that had already survived two games that morning.

And fittingly, the championship was the closest kind of finish we could ask for! 🏆 Fish continued their impressive playoff run and kept the pressure on until the very end, but MASTERBATTERS managed to come out on top 6–5. After winning their semifinal by just one run, they did it AGAIN in the championship, surviving two straight thrillers to claim the title!

From a field of 10 teams down to one champion, #2 MASTERBATTERS earned their way to the top when it mattered most. Two playoff games, two one run victories, and one championship trophy to show for it. 🥎🏆

Congratulations to MASTERBATTERS, your Sunday Softball Champions at Roosevelt Park! 🎉
