Meanwhile, #3 Deez Nets made a statement of their own with a straight set victory over #6 Dill With It, setting up a semifinal showdown with one of the league's top seeds.
Championship night brought the drama. In one semifinal, #4 Tickleball$ pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the tournament, knocking off the #1 seeded Mildly Athletic in straight sets. On the adjacent court, Deez Nets faced #2 Shiver Me Pickles and continued their strong playoff form, sweeping the second seed to earn a spot in the finals. Just like that, the tournament's top two seeds were gone, and the championship would belong to one of the bracket's dark horses.
