Pickleball - Thursdays (Late Spring '26)

The Thursday Intermediate Pickleball playoffs delivered plenty of surprises, and when the final point was scored it was the #3 seeded Deez Nets who emerged as champions after an impressive run through a highly competitive bracket.

The playoff action began with the quarterfinals, where #4 Tickleball$ battled past #5 Flamin Hot Dills in a hard fought three game match. Meanwhile, #3 Deez Nets made a statement of their own with a straight set victory over #6 Dill With It, setting up a semifinal showdown with one of the league's top seeds.

Championship night brought the drama. In one semifinal, #4 Tickleball$ pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the tournament, knocking off the #1 seeded Mildly Athletic in straight sets. On the adjacent court, Deez Nets faced #2 Shiver Me Pickles and continued their strong playoff form, sweeping the second seed to earn a spot in the finals. Just like that, the tournament's top two seeds were gone, and the championship would belong to one of the bracket's dark horses.

The final featured two teams that had already proven they could rise to the occasion. Tickleball$ entered with momentum after taking down the top seed, while Deez Nets had just dispatched the second seed. Neither team was willing to back down, and the championship match went the distance. After splitting the first two games, Deez Nets found another gear in the decisive third game, securing a 2-1 victory and completing their championship run.

As the #3 seed, Deez Nets didn't have the easiest path to the title, but they saved their best pickleball for when it mattered most. By defeating the #2 seed in the semifinals and outlasting the #4 seed in a thrilling final, they earned every bit of their championship hardware.
