The Thursday night pickleball playoffs delivered two weeks of exciting action, and when the dust settled it was the #2 seeded Wrecking Balls standing tall as league champions! Their road to the title wasn't easy, as they had to navigate a talented playoff field packed with teams eager to make a run of their own.

The opening round saw several lower seeds battle for a chance to face the league's top contenders. #8 Too Legit To Dink, #4 Frantickles, #5 Grillo Girls, #7 Deadeye Dinkers, #3 Team B, and #6 The Dinksy Chicks all advanced to the quarterfinals with convincing victories. Once there, the top seeds began to flex their muscles. #1 Hit Happens survived a tough challenge from #8 Too Legit To Dink, while #2 The Wrecking Balls rolled past #7 Deadeye Dinkers. The biggest quarterfinal surprises came from #5 Grillo Girls and #6 The Dinksy Chicks, who upset #4 Frantickles and #3 Team B respectively to punch their tickets to the semifinals.

Championship night featured four deserving teams battling for a spot in the finals. The top seeded Hit Happens continued their dominant season with a straight set victory over #5 Grillo Girls. On the other side of the bracket, #2 The Wrecking Balls were pushed to the limit by #6 The Dinksy Chicks, needing all three games to secure their place in the championship match.

That set up the showdown everyone wanted: #1 Hit Happens versus #2 The Wrecking Balls. The final lived up to the billing, with the top two seeds trading blows throughout the match. Hit Happens grabbed a game, but the Wrecking Balls answered with two of their own to claim the championship 2-1. After a season of strong play and a playoff run that included victories over the #7 and #6 seeds before knocking off the top overall seed, The Wrecking Balls earned every bit of their title.
