There was no drama needed on Championship Sunday, because Hits Happen had already written the story all season long. The Late Spring '26 Sunday Softball League wrapped up its playoffs on July 26 at Roosevelt Park, and the top seed did exactly what a 10-0 regular season record said they would... they won it all.
Hits Happen entered the playoffs having lost zero games all season — the only team in the 12-team league to finish unbeaten. A perfect record is one thing, but backing it up when it counts is another. This squad did both, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined 10-1 en route to the title.
