Softball - Sundays (Spring '26)

This Sunday league brought a little twist to the format, with teams battling it out in the morning to determine playoff seeding before jumping right back into action for the championship bracket that same afternoon. It made for a full day of softball, and no team embraced the grind quite like Morale is High.

Coming into playoffs as the 4th seed, Morale is High had a tough road ahead and it didn’t get any easier facing the top seeded MASTERBATTERS in the semifinals. But from the first pitch, they came out swinging, putting together a strong offensive performance and backing it up with solid defense to take down the #1 seed 6-3 in a statement upset. On the other side, Hits Happen handled business against All About That Base, putting up 12 runs to cruise into the finals as the #2 seed.

That set up a championship matchup between the surging underdogs and a high powered #2 seed, but Morale is High wasn’t done yet. In a tight, back and forth finals game, they stayed composed and capitalized when it mattered most, edging out Hits Happen 6-5 in a nail biter finish. After a full day of games and a gauntlet of tough opponents, the 4th seed completed the upset run in style.

From earning their spot to lifting the title in the afternoon, Morale is High put together one of the most impressive underdog runs we’ve seen. Proof that seeding doesn’t decide champions but effort, energy, and a whole lot of hustle does 💪🔥
