The Wednesday Night Bowling League Championship featured a showdown between the top two seeded teams, Straight Outta The GUTTER and Fingering Balls. While Fingering Balls battled hard all night, the league’s longtime powerhouse once again proved why they seem to end nearly every season holding the trophy. When the dust settled, Straight Outta The GUTTER secured the championship with a convincing 13–2 victory, continuing their impressive run of dominance in the league.
The first game started off competitive, with both teams putting up strong numbers right away. Straight Outta The GUTTER narrowly took the total pins 674–669, helping them grab a 4–1 win in Game 1. Dylan got the champs rolling early with a 200 game, the first 200 of the night, while Ryan kept Fingering Balls right in the mix with a solid 197 to keep things close.
Game two is where Straight Outta The GUTTER really started to pull away. They put together their strongest team performance of the night, finishing with 720 total pins compared to 693 for Fingering Balls and sweeping the game 5–0. Brett delivered the highest score of the match with an impressive 203, while Dylan added another strong performance with a 190. On the other side, Gavin kept Fingering Balls fighting with a very strong 202 game, one of the best scores of the night.
Heading into the third game with momentum on their side, Straight Outta The GUTTER stayed steady and closed things out by winning the total pins 666–606, securing another 4–1 game win. Paul led the way for the champs with a 185, while Dorado’s 191 stood as the top score for Fingering Balls in the final game and helped them pick up their lone point of the frame.
Several big scores highlighted the championship matchup. Brett’s 203 stood as the highest game of the night, followed closely by Gavin’s 202 and Dylan’s 200. Ryan’s 192 and Dorado’s 191 also helped keep the scoring competitive throughout the night.
In the end, however, it was simply another strong, balanced performance from Straight Outta The GUTTER that sealed the deal. With consistent scoring across all three games and multiple bowlers stepping up when it mattered most, the result felt familiar to anyone who has followed the league for a while. Another season is in the books, and once again Straight Outta The GUTTER finishes on top. 🎳🏆
