Congratulations to the River Rats on their amazing run in the playoffs. The River Rats were one of the most consistent teams this season racking up a total of 6 wins to head into the playoffs as the number 2 seed with a first round bye. In the semi finals, River Rats faced the wildcard team, "These Nuts" and made easy work of them taking care of their foes in just two games and getting some rest before the Finals. They got a chance to watch their opponents, "Awkward Silence" beat "Sandy Digs" in their semifinal. River Rats knew that they had a big task ahead of them for the championship. In the Finals, the number 1 seed Awkward Silence were looking to put the hammer down on the River Rats, but were stunned in an opening game 21-16. Looking to answer back, Awkward Silence went on a tear and eventually had game point in the second game with a score of 20-18. After an amazing 4-serve run by the River Rats, they took the game and the set thus solidifying a picture perfect 4 games to none playoff run that is rarely accomplished in our leagues. Congratulations to the River Rats on your Perfect Playoff Push.
