3v3 Basketball - Mondays (Late Summer '26)

The road to championship glory was a two week battle at Howe Park as our Monday Night Basketball teams hit the court on October 12 and 19 for an action packed playoff tournament! With eight teams entering the bracket, the competition was fierce, the upsets were plentiful, and every matchup brought teams one step closer to the ultimate prize. From lower seeded squads making unexpected runs to the league's top team fighting to defend its position, these playoffs had a little bit of everything. But when the final buzzer sounded, CLBs proved exactly why they entered the postseason as the #1 seed!

The quarterfinals kicked off on October 12 with #1 seed CLBs taking on #8 seed Dunkin' Donuts, and the underdogs weren't about to make things easy! Despite entering as the lowest seed, Dunkin' Donuts managed to take a game off the regular season leaders, forcing a deciding third game before CLBs secured the 2-1 victory. Meanwhile, #4 seed Capitol Grind made quick work of #5 seed Team D, delivering a commanding 3-0 sweep to advance. On the other side of the bracket, #2 seed Old School Players & New School Fools faced a determined #7 seed THE DREAMERS, who pushed the higher ranked squad to three games before Old School Players escaped with a 2-1 victory. But the biggest surprise of the opening round came when #6 seed And-1 Pending took on #3 seed Team B. And-1 Pending came ready to make a statement, pulling off an impressive 3-0 sweep and sending the higher seed packing! Talk about an underdog with something to prove!

With four teams remaining, the action returned to Howe Park on October 19 for the semifinals and championship! On one side of the bracket, #1 seed CLBs faced off against #4 seed Capitol Grind, who had been riding high after their dominant quarterfinal performance. However, CLBs had no intention of letting their championship dreams slip away. The top seed delivered an impressive 2-0 sweep, ending Capitol Grind's playoff run and securing their place in the finals. Meanwhile, #6 seed And-1 Pending continued their Cinderella story against #2 seed Old School Players & New School Fools. Despite facing another higher-ranked opponent, And-1 Pending refused to back down, battling their way to a hard-fought 2-1 victory! With two major upsets under their belt, the #6 seed had officially earned a shot at the championship!

The stage was set for an exciting championship showdown between #1 CLBs and #6 And-1 Pending! Could the underdogs complete their incredible playoff run, or would the league's top team finish what they started? CLBs came out ready to answer that question, putting together a strong performance in the opening game. Despite And-1 Pending's impressive journey through the bracket, CLBs controlled the scoring and secured a 21-13 victory, putting themselves just one win away from the championship. But with everything on the line, And-1 Pending wasn't ready to call it quits!

The second game brought another competitive battle as And-1 Pending looked to keep their championship hopes alive. The #6 seed stepped up their offensive production, putting 17 points on the board and making CLBs work for every basket. But the top seed remained composed, finding the scoring they needed to close things out. With a 23-17 victory in the second game, CLBs completed the 2-0 championship sweep and officially claimed the Monday Night Basketball title! After surviving a three game scare in the quarterfinals, the #1 seed finished the postseason with back to back sweeps when it mattered most!

A HUGE congratulations to CLBs, our Monday Night Basketball Champions! 🏆🏀 From earning the top seed during the regular season to battling through three rounds of playoff competition, this squad proved they had what it takes to finish on top! A special shoutout to And-1 Pending for their incredible underdog run, knocking off the #3 and #2 seeds before reaching the championship as the #6 seed. That's one heck of a playoff performance! Thank you to all eight teams for bringing the energy, competition, and excitement to Howe Park over these two weeks. Until next season, keep those buckets coming and those championship dreams alive!
