What a finish to the Tuesday Soccer League! The postseason kicked off with a four-team semifinal field, with the regular season seeds setting up a pair of competitive matchups at Hagginwood Park. No. 1 seed McDoubles 2.0 faced No. 4 seed Plan B in the opening semifinal, while No. 2 seed Jamie’s Cafe took on No. 3 seed Velvet Panthers in the nightcap.
The first semifinal saw No. 4 Plan B pull off the upset over the top-seeded McDoubles 2.0, earning their place in the championship game. In the other semifinal, No. 3 Velvet Panthers defeated No. 2 Jamie’s Cafe to punch their ticket to the final. With both higher seeds knocked out, the stage was set for a championship matchup between the No. 4 and No. 3 seeds.
In the 8:30 PM final, Velvet Panthers capped off their playoff run by defeating No. 4 seed Plan B, finishing the night as Tuesday Soccer League champions. Starting as the No. 3 seed, the Panthers won two straight playoff games against the No. 2 and No. 4 seeds to claim the title and complete an impressive postseason run!
Congratulations to the Velvet Panthers, our Tuesday Soccer League champions! 🏆 A huge shoutout to Plan B for making a run from the No. 4 seed all the way to the championship game, and to all four playoff teams for an exciting night of soccer. What a way to close out the season!
