*ROCKLIN* Softball - Sundays (Summer '26)

Sunday Afternoon Softball in Rocklin wrapped up with a playoff bracket that stayed competitive from the very first pitch to the final out! The action started with #4 Smells Like Dreamers and #5 Bats of Fury in the quarterfinals, and these two couldn't have been much closer. Smells Like Dreamers escaped with a 12-11 victory, surviving the one run thriller to earn a shot at the top seed.

In the semifinals, #1 Inglorious Batters put an end to Smells Like Dreamers' run with a 7-4 victory to advance to the championship. On the other side of the bracket, #2 Bad Company matched that exact score against #3 The Crew, picking up a 7-4 win of their own. With both top seeds taking care of business, the stage was officially set for a #1 vs. #2 championship showdown.

And the finals absolutely delivered! Runs were at a premium as Inglorious Batters and Bad Company battled through the closest game of the day. With the championship hanging in the balance, Bad Company managed to stay one step ahead and hold on for a 4-3 victory, knocking off the #1 seed and claiming the Rocklin crown by just a single run! 🔥

Congratulations to Bad Company, your Sunday Afternoon Softball Champions! 🏆🥎 The #2 seed allowed just seven total runs across its two playoff games and finished the season by taking down the top seeded Inglorious Batters when it mattered most. A one run championship game was the perfect ending to a competitive playoff Sunday in Rocklin! 🎉
