The top four teams in the Super Social B Kickball division battled it out Monday night, and when the dust settled, it was #1 seed Got the Runs proving exactly why they earned the top spot all season long. With two convincing playoff victories, they completed their championship run in style and left no doubt about who ruled the league.
The semifinals featured #1 Got the Runs taking on #4 Professional Assthletes. While Professional Assthletes battled hard, the top seed's offense was firing on all cylinders as Got the Runs secured an 11-3 victory to punch their ticket to the finals. On the other side of the bracket, #2 Pass the Bunt earned their championship berth with a solid 7-0 win over #3 Vitality, setting up a showdown between the league's top two seeds.
In the championship game, the battle between the #1 and #2 seeds lived up to expectations early, but Got the Runs continued to do what they had done all season... play fundamentally sound kickball, make the routine plays, and capitalize on scoring opportunities. They pulled away for a 9-3 victory over Pass the Bunt to claim the Super Social B championship.
