If there was one team that looked untouchable all season long, it was the #1 seeded Cobras. Week after week, they piled up victories and entered the playoffs with a perfect record, never dropping a single matchup. With the top seed secured and plenty of momentum behind them, the Cobras looked poised to complete a flawless season and cap it off with a championship.
The playoffs, however, had other plans.
The Cobras opened their postseason run with a straight set victory over #8 Dinks & Drinks before taking down #5 Dinkin' Donuts in the semifinals. On the other side of the bracket, #2 The Big Dill was quietly putting together an impressive run of its own. After dispatching #10 The Real Picklebacks in the quarterfinals, The Big Dill rolled past #3 Pickle Is Life to punch its ticket to the championship match.
What followed was the most competitive matchup of the entire postseason.
While every other playoff contest was decided in straight sets, the championship was the only match that required all three games to determine a winner. The top two seeds battled back and forth in a thrilling finale, with neither team willing to give an inch. After splitting the first two games, everything came down to a decisive third game with the championship hanging in the balance.
When the dust settled, it was #2 The Big Dill standing tall. In the biggest match of the season, they handed the Cobras their first and only matchup loss of the year, spoiling an undefeated season and claiming the Wednesday Beginner Pickleball Championship.
The Cobras put together a remarkable season and came just one match away from perfection, but The Big Dill proved that playoff pickleball is a different animal. Their postseason run culminated in a championship performance when it mattered most, earning them the title and ending the season as Rocklin's Wednesday Beginner Pickleball champions.

The Wednesday Intermediate Pickleball playoffs delivered plenty of strong performances, but in the end it was #1 seed In a Pickle proving exactly why they earned the top spot. After a season of consistent play, they capped off their campaign with a dominant playoff run and a championship victory at Twin Oaks Park.
The postseason began with two competitive quarterfinal matchups. #4 Dink 182 advanced with a straight-set victory over #5 Pickle Patrol, while #3 Rob and the Lobbers punched their ticket to the semifinals by defeating #6 Strangers With Dinks in two games. Both teams would need even bigger performances in the next round as the top seeds awaited.
In the semifinals, #1 In a Pickle showed no signs of slowing down, dispatching #4 Dink 182 in straight sets to secure a place in the championship match. On the other side of the bracket, the biggest storyline of the night unfolded. Defending champions and #2 seed Cookin' in the Kitchen entered the playoffs looking to defend their title, but #3 Rob and the Lobbers had other plans. In the only semifinal matchup that required three games, Rob and the Lobbers battled their way past the reigning champs, ending their title defense and earning a shot at the championship.
That set up a finals showdown between the tournament's top seed and its hottest team. Rob and the Lobbers had already knocked off the defending champions and entered the championship full of momentum, but In a Pickle was ready for the challenge. The top seed stayed composed and delivered another straight set victory, completing an impressive playoff run and securing the Wednesday Intermediate Pickleball championship.
Congratulations to In a Pickle on an AMAZING earned title. And a special shoutout to Rob and the Lobbers, whose upset victory over the defending champions was one of the most memorable moments of the postseason. While Cookin' in the Kitchen's reign came to an end, the competition in the Intermediate division remains as strong as ever heading into next season.
