Our Beginner Pickleball league wrapped up after a two-week playoff battle at Howe Park, and it was the #1 seed Team B who finished the job and claimed the championship. After earning the top seed through regular season play, Team B entered the bracket with a target on their back but proved all postseason long they were ready for the moment.
Playoffs opened on April 14 with two competitive quarterfinal matchups. The #4 seed Pickle Back Gurls advanced with a hard-fought 2-1 win over #5 seed The Slice Is Right, while the #3 seed Pickles Will Prevail! also survived a three game battle, defeating #6 seed Two Peas and a Pickle by a 2-1 score.
Two weeks later, the semifinals were set. Team B was pushed by the hot handed Pickle Back Gurls but found a way to advance with a 2-1 victory. On the other court, #3 seed Pickles Will Prevail! pulled off the upset over #2 seed Paddle Princesses, winning 2-1 to earn a trip to the championship.
That set up a finals showdown between the top seed and a dangerous underdog, but Team B left no doubt. Staying composed and in control throughout the title match, the #1 seed Team B defeated Pickles Will Prevail! in straight games 2-0 to secure the Beginner Pickleball championship.
From earning the top seed to closing strong in the finals, Team B completed an impressive playoff run and stood tallest at season’s end. Thank you to all teams for coming out, competing all season, and making it another great league. We look forward to seeing everyone back next season! 🏆🥒

Our Intermediate Pickleball division wrapped up after an exciting two week playoff run at Howe Park, and it was the #1 seed Dangerous Nights Crew who lived up to the billing and captured the championship. After earning the top spot during the regular season, Dangerous Nights Crew entered playoffs as the team to beat and proved exactly why.
The quarterfinal round on April 14 set the tone for a stacked bracket. Dangerous Nights Crew advanced over #8 seed Now Serving, while the #4 seed Uh Oh rolled past #5 seed Team Y by a 3-0 score. On the other side, the #2 seed Let’s Get Pickled handled #7 seed Really Big Dills with a 3-0 sweep, while #3 seed Team Z also advanced in dominant fashion, defeating #6 seed Civil Serving 3-0.
Two weeks later, the semifinals delivered the drama. Dangerous Nights Crew was tested by Uh Oh but came through in a tight 2-1 battle to reach the finals. In the other semifinal, #3 seed Team Z made a statement by shutting out #2 seed Let’s Get Pickled 3-0, setting up a championship clash between the #1 and #3 seeds.
The finals proved worthy of the moment. Team Z came in hot after their semifinal performance, but Dangerous Nights Crew stayed composed and delivered in the biggest points of the night. In a competitive three game championship match, the #1 seed Dangerous Nights Crew defeated Team Z 2-1 to claim the Intermediate Pickleball crown.
From securing the top seed to surviving a loaded bracket, Dangerous Nights Crew completed a championship run worthy of their name. Thank you to all teams for coming out, competing all season, and making it another great league. We look forward to seeing everyone back next season! 🏆🥒
