Pickleball - Tuesdays (Spring '26)

Our Beginner Pickleball league wrapped up after a two-week playoff battle at Howe Park, and it was the #1 seed Team B who finished the job and claimed the championship. After earning the top seed through regular season play, Team B entered the bracket with a target on their back but proved all postseason long they were ready for the moment.

Playoffs opened on April 14 with two competitive quarterfinal matchups. The #4 seed Pickle Back Gurls advanced with a hard-fought 2-1 win over #5 seed The Slice Is Right, while the #3 seed Pickles Will Prevail! also survived a three game battle, defeating #6 seed Two Peas and a Pickle by a 2-1 score.

Two weeks later, the semifinals were set. Team B was pushed by the hot handed Pickle Back Gurls but found a way to advance with a 2-1 victory. On the other court, #3 seed Pickles Will Prevail! pulled off the upset over #2 seed Paddle Princesses, winning 2-1 to earn a trip to the championship.

That set up a finals showdown between the top seed and a dangerous underdog, but Team B left no doubt. Staying composed and in control throughout the title match, the #1 seed Team B defeated Pickles Will Prevail! in straight games 2-0 to secure the Beginner Pickleball championship.

From earning the top seed to closing strong in the finals, Team B completed an impressive playoff run and stood tallest at season’s end. Thank you to all teams for coming out, competing all season, and making it another great league. We look forward to seeing everyone back next season! 🏆🥒
