“Over the Top” are the Tuesday Volleyball Champions of the Late Summer ‘21 Season, after defeating “Slamma Jammas” 2-0!
“Over the Top” entered the playoffs as the #3 seed after losing their final game of the season to “Team IDK”. “Over the Top” were not happy about losing the last game of the season, so they were fired up when they found out they would have a rematch with “Team IDK” in the first round. Both teams were very evenly matched, and it all came down to the third game. Neither team was giving an inch to the other, but “Over the Top” won the third game 21-19 and claimed their revenge on “Team IDK”. But “Over the Top” still had a lot of work to do before they could crown themselves as the champions.
The finals were set! It all came down to who would win between “Over the Top” and “Slamma Jammas”. “Slamma Jammas” were the #1 seed entering the playoffs, so “Over the Top” had to play their very best to bring home the title. The first game of the match was extremely close, and neither team could pull away from one another. It was tied 20-20, but “Over the Top” was able to score back to back points and win the first game 22-20! “Slamma Jammas” had to win the next one to force a third game, but “Over the Top” could not be stopped. “Over the Top” played out of their minds in the second game and won 21-18! Even as underdogs, “Over the Top” was able to take down the #1 seed and win the Tuesday Volleyball Championship!
