"Donkey Kick" is our Downtown division champion, avenging a championship game loss last season! The win also marks their second championship in the last three seasons, making them our clear top dog (or donkey) on Tuesday nights.
In their first playoff matchup the defense was perfect, blanking a tough "Game of Throws" squad 2-0. They followed that up in the championship with a 4-1 victory, once again behind the strength of their pitching and defense.
Things didn't quite get off on the right foot for "Donkey Kick" after they lost their first game of the season to the always tough "Roscoe's Kickin' and Waffles". But they came back strong with a streak of 5 straight wins, rocketing to the top of the standings and right into the playoffs.
After that streak "Donkey Kick" would stumble into the playoffs after a tough loss to the top team of the regular season and a tie to another playoff team. However, like the veteran squad they were, they didn't let that get them down. Instead they bounced back with arguable their best defensive games of the season.
Congratulations to "Donkey Kick" on the fantastic season! Tuesday night's win has cemented them as one of our very best kickball teams across all our leagues!

"The Vodka Redballs" are our Midtown division champion, closing things out in the championship game with an impressive 9-0 win.
Overall they finish with a league high 8-2 record as well as a strong +38 point differential, also topping the league. Second place in that category came in with a +34.
When they were on they were unbeatable, which showed Tuesday night. Even throughout the season "The Vodka Redballs" blew teams out regularly, picking up wins of 9-2, 10-0, 11-1, and the 9-0 championship win.
They would have their downs as well, including a 4-2 loss to their championship game opponent and a disappointing 8-0 loss late in the season, but those were two small blips on an otherwise incredible season.
They avenged one of those losses in the best way possible, turning that 4-2 defeat to "Indomitables" into a 9-0 blowout championship win. There really isn't a better way to win than that.
