  Rally Bad Puns

They're 'Rally' Good!

"The "Rally Bad Puns" are our Thursday intermediate champions, defeating "GOOD GAME!" in an incredible match that went the distance.

The finals match started off back-and-forth, point by point. Rallies were long and teams gave it their all. The first game got all the way up to 15-15, with "GOOD GAME!" eventually pusing that to 20-15. However, "Rally Bad Puns" caught up and tied the score at 20-20 before "GOOD GAME!" closed out the set with back to back points, securing the first win 22-20.

In the second set "GOOD GAME!" seemed to lose their momentum while "Rally Bad Puns" stayed on top of it. Once our eventual champs started to take the lead, "GOOD GAME!" couldn’t get their groove back and lost the second game, 12-21. It was an incredible job by "Rally Bad Puns" to fight back after a demoralizing first set.

The third and final set was very similar to the second one. Although the game started close in points, "Rally Bad Puns" proved to be the better team. Once they took the lead, they ran with it. Eventually their aggressive offense brought them the 21-14 win, and thus the title!

Overall "Rally Bad Puns" finishes with a fantastic 9-0-1 record, topping the league. They also end with a +20 set differential, tops in the league by a wide margin. They were dominant throughout the season, so it was only fitting they took home the title for the best team on Thursday nights.

Congratulations to "Rally Bad Puns" on the incredible season!

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
