Softball - Fridays (Late Spring '26)

The #1 seeded Plan B capped off an incredible 8-1-1 regular season by taking home the Friday Night Midtown Softball championship! After spending the season near the top of the standings, Plan B proved why they earned the top seed, battling through a pair of tough playoff games to bring home the title.

In the semifinals, #1 Plan B squared off against the #4 Quokkas. The Quokkas came ready to play and kept things competitive, but Plan B stayed composed and came through with the big hits when they mattered most, earning a 7-3 victory to advance to the championship. On the other side of the bracket, #2 Pitch Slapped edged out #3 Nothing But Net forfeit win, automatically sending them to the championship game!

The championship game delivered plenty of excitement. Batting as the visiting team, Plan B jumped out early, but Pitch Slapped answered and eventually held a 3-0 advantage, putting the pressure squarely on the top seed. Rather than panic, Plan B stayed patient and strung together a huge rally late in the game, erupting for five runs to take a 5-3 lead. With the championship hanging in the balance, they still had to record three more outs and they did just that. Plan B shut the door in the bottom of the final inning, holding Pitch Slapped scoreless in their last at bats to complete an incredible comeback and secure the championship.

Congratulations to Plan B on an outstanding season and a well earned title! Finishing 8-1-1 in the regular season and overcoming adversity in the championship game is no small feat. A huge shoutout as well to Pitch Slapped, Nothing But Net, and Quokkas for making the Midtown playoffs a fun and competitive night. What a way to wrap up the season! 🥎🎉
