The "Champs" are our Midtown division winners, calling their shot at the start of the season and living up to their name! They had a tough road to the finals as the #4 seed, but judging by the scorelines that didn't seem to be the case. Instead, they dropped a cool 17 runs on the #1 seed "Just kicking it" in a 10 run blowout. They followed that up by cruising to an 8-2 win over #3 "Dodgeholics".
It was a tough start to the season for the "Champs, but that didn't stop them one bit. After forfeiting their first game of the season, they came right back with a 9-4 win to put themselves at 1-1. Another two close losses put them behind the 8-ball once again, but they bounced back with a couple of equally impressive wins. One of those was a 17-7 win over "Here for the Beer", which was good enough to get them into the playoffs.
Overall it was an incredible run for the "Champs", especially considering they are an indy team. Just making the playoffs is an accomplishment, but winning the whole thing is that much more impressive!
