The "Rally Bad Puns" have taken the Thursday Volleyball championship, defeating "Smokin' Aces" in back to back sets 21-10, 21-11. The win completes a perfect 10-0 season!
It was an incredible run for our new champs, a season after they finished with a 4-4 record. This season they came out like gangbusters, picking up back to back 3-0 wins and sweeping 4 of their first 5 opponents overall. Eventually they close out the season undefeated.
It's a lot harder to keep it that way once you hit the playoffs, but they did that too! They knocked off a seasoned "Goon Squad" team that saw them take the first set. But the "Rally Bad Puns" stayed strong and cruised to victory in sets 2 and 3 to make their way to the title.
In that game the "Rally Bad Puns" stayed hot, clicking on all cylinders and making relatively quick work of the 2nd best team through the regular season. Overall, an incredibly impressive win.
