Cornhole - Thursdays (Summer '17)

Last night six teams battled it out for cornhole supremacy, fighting for both glory and bragging rights.

In the quarterfinals, The Mighty Husks easily dispatched Team Awesome with a quick 3-0 victory, while the One-Eyed Green Unicorns had a tougher battle before finally getting by "Team D" with a 3-2 win.

Our semi-finals featured the top two seeded teams, who had cruised through the regular season. The #1 overall seed, "Fun Bags", entered the playoffs with an unblemished 8-0 record, and made quick work of The Mighty Husks with a 3-0 win.

Our #2 seed, Cornhooligans, came in with a 7-1 regular season record. Their only loss was a 3-1 defeat at the hands of the Fun Bags. They had little trouble fighting off those One-Eyed Green Unicorns 3-0, to setup a rematch to avenge their lone defeat.

In the finals, Cornhooligans came out swinging, or tossing rather. They completely obliterated the Fun Bags with a 21-2 score to win the first game in dominating fashion. They kept momentum and won game two, putting them one win away from championship glory and redemption against the Fun Bags. The Fun Bags, owners of a perfect 9-0 record up until this point, were not going to run away scared. They rallied the troops and came back, winning three close games to be crowned our Thursday night cornhole champions.
