Kickball - Sundays (Spring '16)

After playing in their final regular-season games, our top four teams battled it out in the playoff games. It was a night of revenge. First place "Ladies and Gentrified" fought hard against fourth place "Ninja Turtles", hoping to beat them like they did in the regular season, but the "Ninja Turtles" bested them in the semifinals. Similarly, second place "7th St. Toejammers" played against third place "Kicking Grass & Taking Names", but "Kicking Grass and Taking Names" came out ahead, earning revenge for their two regular season losses at the hands of the Toejammers.

The championship game was the third consecutive game for both "Kicking Grass and Taking Names" and the "Ninja Turtles", but neither team let their fatigue show. "Kicking Grass and Taking Names" took an early lead, scoring four runs in the first inning. "Ninja Turtles" made it on the board with one run in the second inning, but "Kicking Grass and Taking Names" responded with two more runs in the bottom of the second. Although the "Ninja Turtles" scored one run in the fourth and fifth innings, and two in the sixth, it was not enough to overtake "Kicking Grass and Taking Names", who secured their win with an additional three runs in the fifth inning.

Both teams showed a great amount of energy and sportsmanship throughout the season, and especially in the final game. Congratulations to "Kicking Grass and Taking Names" for their championship win!
