Who needs a top seed anyway?! 👀 The Sunday night kickball playoffs at Roosevelt Park were all about the underdogs, as the bottom two seeds came ready to shake up the bracket! With the #3 and #4 seeds both pulling off semifinal upsets, this championship was anyone’s for the taking. 🔥

The night kicked off with #1 One Kick Wonder taking on #4 We Got the Runz! and We Got the Runz! clearly had no interest in letting the seeding decide their fate. The #4 seed came out ready to make some noise and knocked off the top team in the bracket with an impressive 7-3 victory, officially punching their ticket to the championship!

Then it was #2 Kick Kats against #3 Fast and Feral 🤪, and this one came down to the wire! With their season on the line, Fast and Feral battled their way through a tight game and pulled off another upset, squeaking out a 6-5 win. Just like that, the top two seeds were OUT, and we had ourselves a #3 vs. #4 championship matchup! 🤯

With both underdogs already riding the momentum of semifinal upsets, the championship game was exactly the battle you’d expect. Fast and Feral 🤪 and We Got the Runz! went back and forth with neither team willing to let their Cinderella run end just yet. In another one run thriller, Fast and Feral managed to come out on top 4-3, completing their underdog run and taking home the title! 🏆🔥

From entering playoffs as the #3 seed, to knocking off #2 by ONE run, to winning the championship by ONE run, Fast and Feral certainly earned this one the hard way! 👏 Huge shoutout to We Got the Runz! for an awesome #4-seed run of their own, and thank you to all of our Sunday night teams for another great season at Roosevelt Park! ⚽🍻
