Volleyball - Beginner Mondays (Summer '26)

The top five teams took the court at Turn Verein for the Monday Night Beginner Volleyball playoffs, and #2 Set It Off capped off the night by taking down the top seed and walking away as league champions! 🏐🔥

The action started with #4 Serves You Right and #5 Sugar and Spike battling for the final spot in the semifinals. Sugar and Spike made them work for it, but Serves You Right came away with the 2-1 victory to advance. Waiting for them was #1 Sacramento Smash, who showed exactly why they earned the top seed with a 2-0 semifinal sweep to punch their ticket to the championship. On the other side of the bracket, #2 Set It Off had their hands full with #3 Good Volleybrations. That semifinal went all three sets before Set It Off pulled out the 2-1 win and earned their shot at the title.

That gave us exactly what the seeding predicted for the championship: #1 Sacramento Smash vs. #2 Set It Off! Set It Off came out ready to go, taking control of the opening set and winning 21-13. Sacramento Smash wasn't about to let the championship slip away easily, though, and the second set turned into an absolute battle.

With Sacramento Smash fighting to force a third set and Set It Off trying to finish the job, the teams pushed beyond 21 before Set It Off finally slammed the door with a 22-20 victory! The 2-0 championship win officially crowned Set It Off as Monday Night Beginner Volleyball champions! 🏆🎉

Congratulations to Set It Off on an awesome playoff run and a huge championship victory over the #1 seed! And props to all five playoff teams for a great season, especially Sacramento Smash for earning the top seed and making that final set come down to the wire. 21-13, 22-20, and a championship for Set It Off! 🏐👑
