Volleyball - Thursdays: Intermediate at TV (Summer '26)

The Intermediate Volleyball playoffs at Turn Verein delivered some great matchups, but when the final point hit the floor, it was #2 Ace Down Pass Up standing alone as champions! The five team playoff field featured #1 Tip Happens, #2 Ace Down Pass Up, #3 Hitters Gonna Hit, #4 Jersey Shore, and #5 Smokin' Aces and the road to the title featured everything from three set battles to dominant sweeps.

The night opened with a quarterfinal showdown between #4 Jersey Shore and #5 Smokin' Aces, and neither team was ready for its season to end. Jersey Shore survived the battle with a 2-1 victory, earning a shot at top seeded Tip Happens in the semifinals. They didn't make life easy for the #1 seed either, pushing Tip Happens to three sets before #1 Tip Happens escaped with a 2-1 win and secured its place in the championship.

On the other side of the bracket, #2 Ace Down Pass Up came out firing against #3 Hitters Gonna Hit. Ace Down Pass Up earned the only semifinal sweep of the night, winning 2-0 and setting up the championship matchup everyone wanted to see: #1 vs. #2 with the title on the line. 🔥

Ace Down Pass Up saved some of its best volleyball for last. The #2 seed grabbed control of the championship with a 21-16 victory in the opening set, but Tip Happens wasn't going away quietly. Set two turned into a much tighter battle, with the top seed fighting to force a deciding third set. Ace Down Pass Up held strong when it mattered most, however, closing out the set 21-19 to complete the 2-0 championship sweep! 🏆

Congratulations to #2 Ace Down Pass Up on an awesome playoff run and the Intermediate Volleyball championship at Turn Verein! They went 4-0 in sets on championship night, taking down the #3 seed in the semifinals before sweeping the #1 seed for the title. Congrats as well to Tip Happens on a great season, and thank you to all five teams for another fun season at Turn Verein! 🏐🎉
