Championship Sunday in Division 3 was all about defense, with just two total goals scored across both playoff games. The top three seeds battled for the title, and while #3 seed Sacramento Magic FC made a push from the semifinal round, #1 seed Screaming Marys ultimately held their ground at the top.
The semifinal featured #2 seed White Claws taking on #3 seed Sacramento Magic FC, and neither side was giving away much. Sacramento Magic FC managed to find the one goal they needed while keeping White Claws off the board, securing a 1-0 upset victory and earning a spot in the championship against the top seed.
That set up another defensive showdown in the final. After Sacramento Magic FC had just posted a clean sheet in the semifinals, Screaming Marys turned around and did the exact same thing to them. The #1 seed found the back of the net once and made that goal stand, shutting out Sacramento Magic FC for a 1-0 championship victory.
