Thursday night bowling’s championship match turned into a statement performance as Pinheads rolled past Split Or Swallow in a commanding 14-1 finals victory. From the opening frame, Pinheads came out locked in and never let up, winning matchup after matchup on their way to one of the most dominant title performances of the season. While Split Or Swallow fought hard all night, Pinheads simply caught fire at the perfect time.
Game 1 set the tone early as Jeff exploded for a massive 225, one of the highest scores of the night, while teammates Bri (157), SKT (136), and Stu (133) backed him up in a clean 5-0 sweep. Split Or Swallow had solid efforts from Da (129), Syd (123), and Kyli (122), but Pinheads’ firepower was too much, taking total pins 651-484 and jumping out to an early lead.
Game 2 was more competitive, but Pinheads still controlled the action. Des (172) led the way, with Jeff (158) and Bri (157) adding more big numbers as they claimed a 4-1 edge. Split Or Swallow avoided the sweep thanks to a strong 179 from Bri, the team’s top score of the match, but still found themselves needing a miracle entering the final game.
Any comeback hopes were shut down fast in Game 3. Pinheads finished strong with another all around clinic, led by Jeff’s 233, an even bigger high score than his first game. Bri (145), Des (137), and Stu (131) sealed another 5-0 sweep to close out the championship. Split Or Swallow got respectable games from Brianna (192), Damion (137), and Kylie (130), but Thursday night belonged to Pinheads. A 14-1 finals win leaves no doubt, they were the team to beat. 🏆🎳
