This Wednesday night softball league came down to the regular season standings, and when all the games were played, it was Phoong Around and Find Out who rose above the rest to claim the championship. Finishing with an impressive 6-1-1 record and a dominant +35 run differential, they proved week in and week out that they were the team to beat at Grant Park.
From the start of the season, Phoong Around and Find Out set the tone with strong wins like an 11-4 victory over Sacramento Unathletics and an 8-3 win over Cuties, showing early they had both the offense and defense to compete. They continued to build momentum with big performances, including a 13-5 win over Team B and a 14-7 win over Cuties, consistently putting up runs while limiting their opponents.
Of course, the season wasn’t without its challenges. They battled through a razor-thin 10-10 tie with Team B and suffered a narrow 11-10 loss to Purple is the New Red, proving just how competitive this division was from top to bottom. Close games like 8-7 Sacramento Unathletics over Team B and 12-11 Team B over Sacramento Unathletics showed that every week brought tight matchups and shifting momentum across the standings.
When it came time to close out the season, Phoong Around and Find Out made sure there was no doubt, finishing strong with a 13-8 win over Sacramento Unathletics to lock in the top spot. In a league full of competitive games, big swings, and tight finishes, their consistency and firepower set them apart.
With the best record and one of the strongest point differentials of the season, Phoong Around and Find Out officially claimed the championship and earned their place at the top.
