💥 Hardcore Sets Complete the Sweep!

Our Beginner Sand Volleyball league wrapped up at Howe Park, and the story of the season ended exactly how it began with the #1 seed Hardcore Sets on top. After a dominant 9-0 regular season, Hardcore Sets entered playoffs as the clear team to beat. With the next best record sitting at 5-5, they had separated themselves from the pack all season long and looked ready to finish the job.

In the semifinals, Hardcore Sets handled business against #4 seed Team B, winning in straight sets 2-0 to move into the championship. On the other side of the bracket, the #2 seed Spike Me Harder advanced over #3 seed Empire Spikes Back by forfeit, setting up a finals matchup between the top two seeds.

The championship match was the best battle of the night. Hardcore Sets came out strong and edged the opening set 22-20, but Spike Me Harder answered right back with a 21-17 second-set win to force a deciding third set. With the title on the line, Hardcore Sets showed why they were unbeaten all season, regaining control and closing out the match with another 21-17 win.

From a perfect regular season to a hard fought championship victory, the #1 seed Hardcore Sets completed a flawless run and claimed the Beginner Sand Volleyball crown.

Thank you to all teams for coming out, competing all season, and making it another great league. We look forward to seeing everyone back next season! 🏆🏐

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
