The Sunday Intermediate Volleyball playoffs at Turn Verein brought together a stacked top five, and the action delivered from start to finish. Kicking things off in the quarterfinals, the #5 seed Setters of Catan pulled off the first upset of the day, knocking out #4 LŌKAHI in straight sets (2–0) to advance. Riding that momentum into the semifinals, they ran into the #1 seed ACE-Inhibitors, who showed exactly why they held the top spot, taking care of business in a clean 2–0 sweep to move on to the championship.
On the other side of the bracket, the semifinal between #2 Deez Nets and #3 Gold Diggers turned into a battle. Gold Diggers dug deep (literally and figuratively), edging out a 2–1 victory to secure their place in the finals. That set up a showdown between #1 ACE-Inhibitors and #3 Gold Diggers, with both teams coming in hot and ready to claim the title.
The championship match lived up to the hype. ACE-Inhibitors struck first with a 21–18 win, but Gold Diggers responded in a tight second set, taking it 21–19 to force a decisive third. With everything on the line, ACE-Inhibitors elevated their play, locking in defensively and closing it out with a dominant 21–13 final set to secure the championship. Huge congrats to #1 ACE-Inhibitors for capping off a strong season with the title, and shoutout to Gold Diggers for a gritty playoff run that kept everyone on edge until the very end 🔥🏐
