🎾 Playoff Pressure at Twin Oaks: Irish Mafia Dominates the Bracket!

The Party Pickleball playoffs at Twin Oaks Park in Rocklin brought the energy Thursday night as teams battled it out in a single elimination showdown. The quarterfinal matchup featured the #4 seed Relish the Game and the #5 seed Trying Our Best, with Trying Our Best advancing to earn a semifinal date with the top seeded powerhouse due to a forfeit!

In the semifinals, the #1 seed Irish Mafia wasted no time reminding everyone why they’ve been at the top all season, sweeping the #5 seed Trying Our Best in dominant fashion, 9–0. On the other side of the bracket, the #2 seed Line Cooks and the #3 seed Team C delivered the most competitive matchup of the night. In a back and forth battle that came down to the wire, Team C edged out Line Cooks 5–4 to punch their ticket to the championship.

The finals saw the #1 seed Irish Mafia take on the #3 seed Team C, and the top dogs closed out their season in style with an 8–1 victory to claim the Party Pickleball title. After suffering their first loss of the season just last week β€” a razor thin one game defeat while playing shorthanded with only three players... Irish Mafia bounced back in a big way. It was nearly a perfect season for the squad, and they left no doubt in the playoffs that they were the team to beat. Championship secured. πŸ†

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
