What a way to wrap up the season! Monday night at Howe Park was packed with energy as the top nine teams battled it out for the final championship of the year before the league takes a break until spring. Every game mattered, and the competition was fierce from start to finish.
The night kicked off with a play-in matchup between the 8th seed Team B and the 9th seed Nothing but Rim, where Team B came out strong, taking the win 2–0 to advance to the quarterfinals. From there, they faced the top-seeded The Big 3, who were ready to defend their ranking. Despite Team B’s momentum, The Big 3 held firm, grinding out a 2–1 victory to secure their spot in the semifinals. Meanwhile, 4th seed Rim Rubbers swept past 5th seed Team D 2–0, while 2nd seed Team C dominated 7th seed The Underdogs 2–0. The last quarterfinal matchup saw 3rd seed City of Threes also advance with a clean 2–0 win over 6th seed Town_Biz.
The semifinals brought even tougher battles, with The Big 3 facing Rim Rubbers on one side and Team C taking on City of Threes on the other. Both top seeds proved why they earned their rankings — The Big 3 shut out Rim Rubbers 2–0, while Team C continued their hot streak with a dominant 2–0 sweep of City of Threes.
That set up the finals: the undefeated #1 The Big 3 versus #2 Team C. The championship game was everything a fan could ask for — high intensity, great plays, and plenty of heart. But when the final buzzer sounded, Team C came out on top with a commanding 2–0 victory, taking home the title and ending the season as champions!
