The Beginner Friday Night Volleyball season wrapped up with an exciting playoff night featuring the top four teams: #1 Holy Blockamole, #2 Serve-ivors, #3 Penguin Patrol, and #4 Block Party. After a season filled with close matches, surprise wins, and more than a few blocks worthy of the highlight reel, all four teams came into playoffs hungry for one last victory.
In the semifinals, Holy Blockamole looked every bit like the top seed as they powered past #4 Block Party in straight sets. Their energy, ball control, and consistency earned them a well-deserved spot in the finals. Over in the other semifinal, #2 Serve-ivors and #3 Penguin Patrol battled through long rallies and big defensive plays, but Serve-ivors ultimately closed it out 2–1 to earn their shot at the title.
The championship match between #1 Holy Blockamole and #2 Serve-ivors absolutely lived up to the moment. Holy Blockamole started strong, taking the first set 21–17, but the Serve-ivors answered right back with a 21–17 win of their own, shifting the momentum and setting up a decisive final set. The last frame was tight from start to finish, but Holy Blockamole found their rhythm when it mattered most, pulling away late and securing the championship with a 15–11 victory.
Holy Blockamole closed out the season as well deserved champions, capping off a night filled with competitive matches, great sportsmanship, and a true beginner league glow up from all teams involved. We can't wait to see everyone next season!
