Corn On The Quad Sweeps In The Championship Game

Our Late Fall 2014 Thursday Cornhole league wrapped up with our two top teams, "Corn On The Quad" taking on, "Sack Attack" for all the marbles (and a $50 Yolo Brewing Tab).

"Corn on the Quad" entered the championship game as the top seed boasting an impressive 7-0-2 regular season record. One of their two draws however came against their opponent in the championship game, "Sack Attack" who came in to the match with a 7-1-2 record.

Based on their similar records and the draw that occurred in their regular season match we expected a back and forth final that could easily come down to a 5th and deciding game. It was not to be however, as "Corn on the Quad" wasn't messing around and left no room for doubt as to who the top team in the league was. They routed "Sack Attack" in a 3-0 sweep.

Congratulations to "Corn on the Quad" on winning the season championship, to "Sack Atack" for their great sportsmanship and mutliple theme nights, and to all of the teams that competed in a great cornhole season.

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
