“Spike Rolls” are the Monday Sand Volleyball Champions of the Late Spring ‘24 Season, after defeating “Floating Duckies” 2-1!
It was the playoffs for Monday Sand volleyball last night and it did not disappoint! After two very hard fought semifinal matches, the championship was finally set. “Spike Rolls” and “Floating Duckies” were the last two teams remaining in the tournament and no one knew who was going to take home the title! “Spike Rolls” jumped out of the gates on fire in the first game and won 21-13. It looked like “Spike Rolls” was going to be crowned the champions after the second set but “Floating Duckies” had other ideas for game two. “Floating Duckies” changed up their game plan and were able to win the second set 21-15 with their amazing teamwork! It was tied up after two games between these two heavy weights, and it all came down to the third and final match. “Spike Rolls” took an early lead in the third game with some incredible serves, but “Floating Duckies” came right back with some impressive rallies of their own. “Spike Rolls” were able to find a groove late in the third game and won 23-21 to become the champions of Monday Sand Volleyball!
