Gov't Cheese Brings Home The Bacon

Our Summer 2014 Thursday dodgeball league wrapped up on Thursday with top seeded Gov't Cheese taking home the coveted championship title, bar tab, and bragging rights.

An outstanding night of playoff dodgeball got underway with #5 seeded The Other White Meat edging out #4 seed My Balls Your Face 3-2 in a nail bitter. In the second opening round match veteran team and #3 seed Bats and Boobs showed their experience rolling to a 6-1 victory over #6 seed Duck My Balls.

In the first semi-final Gov't Cheese held off an inspired effort by The Other White Meat for a 3-2 win securing their spot in the final. Meanwhile in the second semifinal, previous champions Bats and Boobs and Dodgeaholics battled, with Bats and Boobs coming out on top of a shorthanded Dodgeaholics team 5-2.

Gov't Cheese earned a first round bye as a result of their stellar regular season record which allowed them to conserve their energy. This played a crucial role in the outcome of the final as Bats and Boobs started fast, but couldn't sustain their energy level having played an extra game, and eventually succumbed to the pressure that Gov't Cheese imposed.

Congratulations to our champion Gov't Cheese, and to all of the participating teams.

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
