“Perry’s Platypuses” are the Friday Coed Division Soccer Coed Champions of the Fall ‘23 season, after defeating “NWO FC- The OTGG Era” 3-2!

“Perry’s Platypuses” came into the playoffs as one of the favorites to take home the title. Their incredible offense is why they finished as one of the top teams in their division, but their impressive defense and amazing teamwork was the reason they made it to the finals. The championship started off very evenly matched, with neither team being able to pull away from the other. But that all changed when “Perry’s Platypuses” scored an unbelievable goal midway through the first half to take the lead. “NWO FC- The OTGG Era” kept putting pressure on “Perry’s Platypuses” defense but “Perry’s Platypuses” stayed strong and did not allow them to score in the first half. The second half started off as a defensive battle but “NWO FC- The OTGG Era” was able to score a goal of their own to tie it up. It looked like the championship was up for grabs but “Perry’s Platypuses” turned up the heat and scored two more goals to take a commanding 3-1 lead. “NWO FC- The OTGG Era” scored a last minute goal to give them one final chance to pull off a miracle, but “Perry’s Platypuses” was able to prevent them from scoring and won the championship 3-2!

“West Ham Sandwiches” are the Open Division Champions of the Fall ‘23 season, after defeating “Sac City Rebellion FC” 5-0!

“West Ham Sandwiches” came into the playoffs as the #4 seed and as one of the favorites to take home the title. Their offense was the main reason they finished as one of the top teams in their division but their real MVP during the championship was their defense. The championship started off very evenly matched, with neither team being able to pull away from the other. “West Ham Sandwiches” started to heat up midway through the first half and was able to score an impressive goal to take the lead. “Sac City Rebellion FC” kept applying pressure to “West Ham Sandwiches” defense but “West Ham Sandwiches” stayed strong on the defensive end all game long. “West Ham Sandwiches” played a very well rounded game scoring 5 goals on offense and not allowing “Sac City Rebellion FC” to score a goal the entire game. “West Ham Sandwiches” proved that they are the team to beat and won the championship 5-0!

Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
