"River Dogs" are Champions of the Softball Late Spring 21' Season

“River Dogs” are the Softball Champions of the Late Spring 21’ Season, after defeating “Swamp Donkeys” 11-6!

“River Dogs” entered the playoffs with confidence and swagger. They had only lost once during the regular season to the “Swamp Donkeys”, and they looked to be the team to beat in the championship. But “Swamp Donkeys” were not going down without a fight. “Swamp Donkeys” had already beaten the “River Dogs” in the regular season, so it looked to be a championship between two titans.

In this epic battle of “River Dogs'' vs “Swamp Donkeys”, the River Dogs started off strong with two runs in the first. At the top of the third, the “River Dogs” got everyone on base and put five runs on the board. It took the “Swamp Donkeys” a few innings for them to get their stride, but they went on to score their first run in the third. The “River Dogs” thought the championship was theirs for the taking. But the “Swamp Donkeys'' put on their rally caps and scored four runs at the bottom of the fourth, making the game 8-5 in favor of the “River Dogs”. The game was tight for the final two innings, but the “River Dogs” pulled out ahead and won the Championship 11-6!

Congratulations to the “River Dogs” on becoming the Softball Champions and winners of $50 to Elixir! We look forward to seeing if they can go back-to-back champions next season!

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
