Back on Top!

The "Benchwarmers" are our Division 1 champion, taking out a couple of tough contenders on their way to the league title. In the first round of games they made quick work of "Team ONE", defeating them in a high-scoring 8-4 affair. Their championship game opponent, "Snakes United", also made quick of their opponent "Team Iceland" in a 6-1 route.

With a championship set between two heavyweights, it was expected to be a close game. That came to fruition, with the "Benchwarmers narrowly coming out on top in the 3-2 final. No doubt a 3-1 win over this very team earlier on in the season gave them a bit of a mental edge when it came to yesterday's final.

All season the two were destined to meet, being in a class of their own within the division. They were also very similar, each finishing with 8 wins on the season and a +22 goal differential. From beginning to end they were neck and neck, making this championship game such a great matchup. In the end though it was the "Benchwarmers" who reign as league champion, defeating "Snakes United" not just once but twice for good measure, including the most important game of the season.

Congratulations to the "Benchwarmers" on another successful season!

The "Phoenix" Rises

"Phoenix FC" is our Division 2 champion, taking down "Hangover United" in a 7-4 shootout. Most title games tend to be low-scoring, but both teams were happy to play a high-paced game, leading to the final score. In fact, the seven goals scored was a season high for our champs.

All season "Phoenix FC" was at the top of the division, claiming the #1 seed for the playoffs. In total they finished with a 8-1-1 record, along with a league best +20 point differential.

They did hit a rough two-game patch midway through the season, first dropping a game to "The Goonies" by the score of 4-1 before drawing with the "Rubber Ducks" 2-2. "Phoenix FC" would get the last laugh against "Rubber Ducks" though, taking them down in the first round of the playoffs by the score of 3-1.

Aside from those two games, it was a nearly flawless season. Defense was their strength, holding opponents to 2 or less goals in 8 out of their 10 games. Those 2 timed they didn't they allowed 4 goals; the first was in their loss to "The Goonies" and the other in their championship win over "Hangover 916".

Congratulations to "Phoenix FC" on the incredible season!

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
