All About "The A team"!

"The A team" is our Thursday softball champion, taking down "50 Hits of Grey" in the championship 8-3. All season long they were the top two teams, so their meeting in the title game wasn't a surprise. What was a surprise though was the final score, considering the last time the two met the game ended in a 5-5 tie.

In all "The A team" finished with a nearly flawless 8-1-1 record. They started the season off with a bang, winning four straight to catapult to the top of the standings. From there they cruised into the playoffs as the #1 seed. They also finished with a +32 point differential, 10 full runs ahead of their championship game opponent in second.

In the first round of the playoffs our champs did get a bit of a scare, but their defense stood tall when it mattered most and were able to hold off the "Red Solo Cups" by the score of 5-4. After the near disastrous loss, they wouldn't make the same mistake again, and instead ensure their title with a convincing 8-3 win.

Congratulations to "The A team" on the championship! Well deserved!

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
