"I'd Hit That" has climbed their way to the top of the mountain this season after winning it all last night. Last season they got all the way to the finals and lost a heart-breaker, but that made them even more determined to win it all this year, and that they did!
They entered the evening as the #1 overall seed and an undefeated 8-0 record on the line, making them the favorite to take the whole thing. That didn't mean it was an easy road though, with both of their games went all three sets.
The first of those games was against the "Volley Llamas" who squeaked into the playoffs on the final night of the regular season. Either way it was no easy task, but "I'd Hit That" was up for the challenge and ended with their 2-1 victory thanks to a convincing 21-15 in the third set.
In the championship they met up with some old friends in "All About the Sets" who were fresh off a two sets to one win over the #2 seeded "FC Amigos". Two of our most veteran squads, these two battled it out for the championship.
"All About the Sets" started with the serve and played extremely well, winning game one 21-13. Game two began with "I'd Hit That" serving and starting strong. The game was tied about halfway through until "I'd Hit That" started serving much harder. This allowed them to pull ahead and pick up game two 21-12. Much like their previous match, "t I'd Hit That" saved their best for last and dominated the third and final set 21-14 to be crowned the champions!
Congrats to "I'd Hit That" on their undefeated 10-0 season, we can't wait to see if they're able to do it again next season!
