Back-to-Back Champs

"Sir Kicks A Lot" has done it again! For the second time in as many seasons they have won the championship for their division. This time they did so by knocking of two quality opponents in the championship, including a nail-biting 3-2 championship win to seal the deal.

Right away the night started off with a bang in the Downtown Division as the top-seeded "Squirtle Squad" got shut out by the seasoned "Friendship to Funship" in a 1-0 pitcher's duel. They set the tone early with their defense and it stayed strong for them up until the end, leading to the win.

The second game of the night in the bracket, between "Sir Kicks A Lot" and "Freeballers" was a bit less exciting. "Sir Kicks A Lot" was certainly the better team and they showed it picking up a decisive 6-1 victory. The win definitely gave them plenty of confidence in their offense and their defense for the championship game, both of which they would need.

In that championship game things got much more tense for "Sir Kicks A Lot" as they took on "Friendship to Funship". Neither team could pull away in the game as both sides kept their defense up to keep them in the game. But, in the end there can only be one winner, and that winner was "Sir Kicks A Lot" thanks to a 3-2 win.

Congrats to "Sir Kicks A Lot" on their back-to-back titles! Can they make it a 3-peat?

Cream of the Crop

The "Ramrods" are our Midtown Division champions, knocking off two higher-seeded teams last night to rightfully earn that name.

Their first game of the night presented them with a daunting task. The "Ramrods" took on the #2 "Crispy Breaded Chicken Tenders" in a rematch of the first game of the season. In that game the "Ramrods" lost 7-0, putting doubt into their minds early as to whether they could make the playoffs or not.

Unlike that game the "Ramrods" 'flipped the script' and were able to put up seven runs of their own while only allowing two. The 7-2 win meant they would head to the championship, with a chance to win it all.

In the championship game they took on the top-seeded "Ball is Lyfe" who came off a 5-3 win in the first game of the night in the Midtown Division. Oddly enough the final would also end at 5-3, but this time not in favor of "Ball is Lyfe". Instead, "Ramrods" was able to pick up runs by taking advantage of some mental mistakes by their opponent. Meanwhile, they kept the mistakes on their end to a minimum and were able to pick up the 5-3 championship win!

Congrats to the "Ramrods" for a great season, and for reminding us that it's not how you start, but how you finish! We look forward to seeing how they fair next season as they make a run at back-to-back titles.

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
