With the championship on the line, there was plenty of competition, a couple of upsets, and one team determined to prove exactly why they earned the top seed. When the final bag landed, #1 The Hole Enchiladas stood alone as the Thursday night champions! 🌽🔥
The action started in the quarterfinals, where #5 The Cornholios took on #4 Airmail Assassins. Despite entering the night as the lower seed, The Cornholios came ready to compete, pulling off a 3–1 victory and earning themselves a spot in the semifinals. Over on Board 2, #3 Live Laugh Lob faced #6 Board Certified and took care of business with a 3–1 win of their own, keeping their championship hopes alive!
The semifinals brought two very different matchups, but the same result on the scoreboard! #1 The Hole Enchiladas entered the bracket against The Cornholios and wasted no time showing why they finished the regular season on top. They delivered a commanding 3–0 sweep, ending The Cornholios' upset run and punching their ticket to the championship. Meanwhile, #3 Live Laugh Lob had their sights set on an upset against #2 Saggy Sacks. The third seed came through in a big way, sweeping the higher seeded Saggy Sacks 3–0 and setting up a championship showdown between the #1 and #3 seeds! 🔥
With the title on the line, Live Laugh Lob was looking to complete their impressive playoff run with one final upset. But The Hole Enchiladas had other plans! The top seed continued their dominant performance, securing another 3–0 sweep to close out the championship match. After winning six straight games across their two playoff matches, The Hole Enchiladas finished the night without dropping a single game!
From the regular season standings to the final throw of the championship, The Hole Enchiladas proved they were the whole package! 🌽🏆 Live Laugh Lob deserves plenty of recognition for battling through three rounds and taking down the #2 seed, but in the end, The Hole Enchiladas were simply unstoppable.
