Another Wednesday night in the sand at Howe Park is officially in the books, and Cold 6 Pack picked the perfect night to heat up! 🔥🏐 The playoffs kicked off with Big Ol’ Hitties battling past Volley Stealers in a three set, 2-1 quarterfinal, while #3 Cold 6 Pack came out firing with a 3-0 sweep over Sets In The City to earn their spot in the semifinals.
The top two seeds entered the action in the semis, but neither was able to stop the lower seeds from crashing the championship party. #4 Big Ol’ Hitties pulled off the upset over #1 Artichoke Me, sweeping them 2-0 to punch their ticket to the Finals. On the other court, Cold 6 Pack kept rolling with another straight set victory, taking down #2 The Volley Llamas 2-0. Just like that, the #3 and #4 seeds were the last two teams standing! 👀🔥
The championship opened with easily the closest set of the match. Big Ol’ Hitties and Cold 6 Pack battled back and forth, but Cold 6 Pack managed to grab the first set 21-19. From there, the #3 seed completely took over. Cold 6 Pack cruised to a 21-7 victory in Set 2, completing the sweep and officially claiming the Wednesday Beginner Sand Volleyball Championship! 🏆🍻
Congratulations to Cold 6 Pack on an incredible playoff run! After entering the bracket as the #3 seed, they swept all three of their opponents and saved their most dominant set for the championship. Huge shoutout to Big Ol’ Hitties as well for their run from the quarterfinals to the Finals, including knocking out the #1 seed along the way.
