A Championship Too Close to Split
Brooklyn Beer Frames and Split or Swallow Share the Crown

Sometimes the scoreboard just refuses to pick a winner. That's exactly what happened in our Thursday Bowling season (Summer '26), where the season's top two teams met on Position Week for the championship and finished dead even, leaving Brooklyn Beer Frames and Split or Swallow to share the title as co-champions.

Thursday Bowling closes its season with Position Week instead of a traditional bracket — every team faces its mirror seed (1v2, 3v4, 5v6) on the final night, turning the last week into a league-wide finale. Brooklyn Beer Frames entered as the No. 1 seed, with split or swallow right behind at No. 2, setting up a straightforward winner-take-all matchup for the championship.

It didn't work out that way. The two teams battled to a 7-7 tie, and with no head-to-head winner to crown, Brooklyn Beer Frames and Split or Swallow agreed to share the championship rather than force a tiebreaker.

The two teams' final scores tell the story of just how tight this race was all season. Brooklyn Beer Frames and Split or Swallow were the clear class of the league, and it's fitting they ended up sharing the top spot.

Congratulations to your co-champions, Brooklyn Beer Frames and Split or Swallow — and thanks to every team that rolled with us this summer. See you next season!
