The top seed put eight goals on the board, but Homies United refused to let their season end there. In one of the highest scoring playoff games you’ll see, the #4 seed pulled off the upset with a wild 9-8 victory, knocking out the top ranked team and punching their ticket to the championship game.
On the other side of the bracket, #2 Muchas Ganas took care of business against #3 Plan B, earning a convincing 3-0 semifinal win and setting up a #2 vs. #4 championship showdown. After combining for 17 goals in their semifinal, Homies United found themselves in a completely different kind of battle in the finals. This time, every goal mattered.
Homies United grabbed the edge they needed and held on for a 2-1 championship victory over Muchas Ganas, officially completing their underdog run from the #4 seed all the way to the top of the podium! 🥇 From surviving a 17-goal semifinal thriller to grinding out a one goal victory with the title on the line, Homies United earned this one the hard way.
