“Notorious D.I.G.” are the Advanced Sand Volleyball champions of the Late Summer ‘21 season, after defeating “Splinter’s Angels” 2-0!
"Notorious D.I.G." entered the playoffs with an undefeated record, and looked to keep that undefeated streak into the Championship, but “Splinter’s Angels” did not make it easy for them. “Splinter’s Angels” scored four straight points to start off the championship, and convinced everyone that they would continue their dominance from their semi final match. But everything changed once “Notorious D.I.G” scored their first point. “Notorious D.I.G.” used bump, set and spike to perfection and rattled off 7 points in a row. Once they took the lead, they never looked back! “Notorious D.I.G” dominated the first game with a score of 21-8 and continued their hot streak into the second game. “Splinters Angels” played very well in game two and showed off their power at the net, but “Notorious D.I.G.” were too hot to handle. The second game came down to the wire, but “Notorious D.I.G.” was able to squeak by and win 21-16 to claim the championship!
