Thursday night cornhole in Rocklin has a brand new champion! After finishing the regular season as the #1 seed, Board Certified lived up to the ranking and captured their first-ever Xoso championship, taking down #2 Live Laugh Lob in a five-game finals battle!

But before we got to the championship, the bracket delivered one of the biggest surprises of the night. The Hole Enchiladas, a team that has made a habit out of winning championships, entered the playoffs looking to add yet another title to the collection. This time, #3 Bags 4 Beers had other plans. Bags 4 Beers stunned the defending powerhouse with a 3-1 quarterfinal victory, knocking The Hole Enchiladas out in the opening round and officially guaranteeing that a new champ would be crowned! 👀 Meanwhile, #5 The Cornholios pulled off an upset of their own, defeating #4 Baggin N Braggin 3-1 to advance.

The semifinals belonged to the top two seeds. #1 Board Certified ended The Cornholios' Cinderella run with a 3-1 victory, while #2 Live Laugh Lob took care of #3 Bags 4 Beers by the same 3-1 score. That set up exactly what the seeding predicted: #1 vs. #2 with the championship on the line.

And these two absolutely delivered. Neither team was giving up that first championship easily, with the finals going the full five games. In the end, Board Certified pulled out the 3-2 victory, completing their run from #1 seed to first time champions! 🥇🌽

Congratulations to Board Certified on breaking through and earning that first title! The Hole Enchiladas' reign may have ended early this time around, but something tells us they'll be coming back hungry next season. For now, though, Thursday nights in Rocklin belong to BOARD CERTIFIED! 🍻🏆
